18 months ago in Cork, Johnson Controls launched an accelerator program to incubate a new business unit within their organisation. Using lean and agile principles a security platform for smart buildings has emerged from combining IoT sensor data with machine learning insights.
In this session I’ll share my experiences of managing rapid organisational growth while maintaining our team’s strong winning culture. We’ve taken a human centred approach to creating an experience that has enabled us to become a leader in the market. We’ve continuously improved and adapted, stumbled and picked ourselves up, refactored our teams and maintained “just enough process” to scale autonomously without adopting a religious agile framework. All this while driving to a drop-dead customer date.
